Glenville Farmers Market

The Gilmer County Economic Development Association has started sponsoring a farmers market on the grounds of the Gilmer County Senior Center at Hays City. It is just a beginning, but hopefully it will grow and become an important part of the community.

What is an occasion like this without a lemonade stand?

The market is open on Saturdays and has already become a center of social gathering. Here Fran Schmetzer and Jack Conrad arrive to check out the produce.

We purchased peppers and tomatoes. Judy also brought home locally produced honey.

Mary Oldaker, Director of the Glenville Senior Citizens Center, was selling bread, fudge, and other goodies. We certainly hope this endeavor by the Gilmer EDA continues to prosper.
