The National Guard Arrives!

Today the National Guard has entered Glenville and is helping with flood cleanup.

The guard is rapidly addressing all the food that had to be removed from the grocery stores. This is a definite health hazard if left too long, so they are hauling off the grocery store debris first and taking it to a landfill. Below you can see the U-Pack where at least eight inches of water entered their store.


The photo below was taken between the Foodland and Mountaineer Mart. Foodland had four inches of water and the staff worked all night in cleanup. They are the first grocery to reopen after the flood.

This scene will be repeated throughout today.
