Trapped on VanHorn

Good Morning! Yes, we are trapped on our street by flood waters. Thankfully we do not have the waters in our house and businesses as do many folks. We are experiencing the largest flood since 1985. I do not believe this will be the same level as the 1985 food, but the threat of water is real this morning. Flood stage is 23 feet on the Little Kanawha in Glenville and we are forecasting cresting around noon at 32 feet.

The shot below shows the bridge (covered with flood waters) on Route 5 across Stewarts Creek and Foodland Plaza is in the background.

Ok- here is a glamour water shot of me. Denise Ellyson and I are discussing her power outage around 6:30 this morning.

The photo below is on Route 5 East in front of Ellyson Mortuary at the junction of VanHorn and Route 5.

Here Lee Ellyson is checking out the waters. Wonder why his nickname is Mudslut? Lee is a big mudbogging fellow.

Will post some other shots later in the day.
