If a Tree...

The ole story about a tree falling in the forest and no one is around - does it make a sound? This question was brought to life when we went to supper yesterday and came home and realized the pine tree had given up the ship.

I have been noticing that the pine tree was dying. The woodpeckers loved to search the bark for insects. Guess the critter was farther along in the state of decomposition than we had thought.

Time to call our tree expert friend and see how we can safely remove the weakened xylem.
