A Canasta Picnic

After breakfast at The Flying Pig and a visit to the White Room, we decided to go into Davis and check out a few of the tourist traps. We went to My Grandpa's Attic and purchased a metal top for one of our Ball Jars. In the post office and bank building was a little shop that was reminiscent of the 60's.

Judy arranged a picnic lunch and canasta tournament at the overlook at the lodge. We had stopped at the Shop and Save in Davis and bought fruit and other picnic goodies.

After our lunch, we started the canasta game of the century.

Oh no! The rain started and we had to move the game into the lobby. Judy beat me mercilessly. For supper we went to Muttley's. This restaurant is located in Davis and we believe it to be the best eatery in the area. Our Delmonico steaks were wonderful.

Back at the lodge we played two more canasta games in the lobby while we watching the DC 4th of July celebration.

The rain had stopped by the time we returned and the sun was setting over the canyon. I have to share a few pictures of this event. The canyon was filled with fog and the sun presented an ever changing view of the mountains.

Tomorrow- Our Last Day of This Adventure.
