On the way home this past Monday we stopped at the Cranberry Glades in the Monongahela National Forest. I asked the good wife if she would mind if I stop and take a flower photo. She knew exactly what I wanted to capture with our camera.
Spring is coming to the glades. I found immediately what I had come to see - the unique flower of the plant affectionately know as Skunk Cabbage. The flower was there in a bog area - the odoriferous foliage will come later in the spring.
Another fun time was had by all in Pocahontas County. Thanks for checking on our blog.
