Judy and traveled into Marlinton on Saturday. You have to love Richardson's Hardware. The old store is chucked full of timeless treasures.


The folks are so friendly. I love to watch the employees grab the ladder and sail down the shelves on the rails.

Are we proud of our heritage?

This is a sad sight. French's Diner is no more. The locals say that the structure will be demolished and perhaps an apartment complex will be built. (On stilts, of course- one has to plan for flooding. Many memories flash through my mind of the great times eating here with our friends.

Tomorrow Amish cheese and salt rising bread.
