After a fine supper at Tony's, we watched the fireworks (Wishes) and the Spectromagic Parade which has replaced the Main Street Electric Parade. Guess the Electric Parade will return this summer. There is a big competition between Disney and Universal Studios. Universal will soon open their Harry Potter land. A recent press conference at Walt Disney World was touted as a Big Reveal, but in the end, the only big news — Parks-wise, at least — was that the Main Street Electrical Parade would finally be returning to the Magic Kingdom.
The Spectromagic Parade is a feast for the eyes and ears.
The show is a dazzling nighttime procession filled with brilliantly lit Disney characters and floats which are transformed into living ornaments of light in this glittering spectacle.
Half a million lights and miles of fiber optics cables light up the night during the "SpectroMagic" Parade.
It amazes us how parades appear from nowhere and then dissolve into the infrastructure of the park.
While the Spectromagic Parade is exciting and wonderful, Wishes tops the list for majesty and awe.
Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is an amazing, high-tech fireworks show—the biggest, brightest fireworks extravaganza in Magic Kingdom theme park history.
Make a wish on a star as the nighttime sky comes to life in a musical fireworks spectacular that is uniquely Disney.
Jiminy Cricket hosts this awe-inspiring spectacle as he guides Pinocchio, Cinderella, Ariel, Peter Pan and other beloved Disney Characters through a fantastic story told amongst the stars.
State-of-the-art technology choreographs the magnificent musical score in time with the fireworks explosions for a stunning, aural and visual experience. Unique pyrotechnics and special effects designed especially for this show create one of the most elaborate fireworks display ever performed at Magic Kingdom theme park.
The show can be viewed throughout the Park, but to see Tinkerbell flying in the sky, one needs to be in front of Cinderella Castle on Main Street.
This was a really magical evening for Judy and me! (I know I used that term "magical" - Disney would be proud. When you answer the phone, the operator always says, "Have a magical day!") We returned to the resort after 10:00 PM. We were tired puppies!
Tomorrow - Epcot
