Sarah shared some grandkids photos with us and in turn we wish to share them with you all. Sammy is in complete control of Georgia (left) and Rudy (right). Before the boys were born, these two Golden Retrievers were our Bridgeport grandsons. (Guess they still are our granddogs!) The photo below is Mr. Nate who now is really moving on. He is crawling and it will not be long before this man is walking!
Bedtime is a special time in the Dodson household. These fellows follow a routine where we bathe, brush our teeth, read a book, and then off to bed!
This past week we all had snow once again. Dad and Sam decided that it was time to hone their Winter Olympic skills.
Now to climb the mountain and try their skills at bobsleding. The bobsled was developed in Switzerland in 1897 when a group of vacationers put runners on a toboggan to get greater speed down the famous Cresta Run at St. Moritz. The sport of racing bobsleds down the mountain quickly became popular among British and American visitors. The first sleds were made of wood but were soon replaced by steel sleds, which were much faster. A part of the Winter Olympic games since their inception in 1924, bobsledding is a sport of exhilarating but dangerous speed.
Wait! This bobsled is just a plastic "down-the-hill" variety. This sled would not be allowed in this month's Vancover Winter Games.
Sam is probably not ready for the Olympics. Dad is now teaching the skills he will need to compete in the future.
