Nate's First Birthday

This past Saturday we celebrated Nate's first birthday. Grandma Great Meads, Judy, and I arrived at Sarah's and Jeff's house to find the Bouncy House plus two blown-up games ready for the arrrival of the kids.

Sammy has started playing t-ball a couple of weeks ago. He was the first kid at the ball hitting station.

You will notice that physics came into play when operating this skill game. The air stream allows the ball to float in mid-air. I was going to explain to Sam about Bernoulli's Principle, but thought that perhaps the moment was not right for this discussion.

Sarah invited all the kids in the neighborhood. There were extreme high wind warnings this day, but it seemed that the house actually reflected the gusts.

All the kids had a great time. The temperatures were in the low sixties, but the kids could have cared less and did not notice the cool weather.

Jeff welcomes friends Chris, Melissa, and Tessa. Their son, Luke, ran to join the other kids in the Big Bounce House.

As the kids were playing, a very special guest arrived! The guest will be explained in tomorrow's blog.
