The Parade

The parade passed directly in front of John and Rachael's house on Mill Street so we stayed on the porch and saw most of the units. The parade was heading to the Rumsey Monument and park. The bluegrass band above supplied the festive music. There were two horses and lamas from a fellow who rents the animals for hiking.

As in most parades, the antique cars were an important part of the celebration.

What is coming down the street?

It is the 1/2 replica of the famous James Rumsey steamboat!

We eagerly followed the Rumsey steam boat to the park. Tomorrow - a little background on James Rumsey and his boat!
