Flora, Lucy, John, and Rachael's Flowers

As promised, I am sharing the blossoms that we encountered around our kid's house in Shepherdstown. The merigold below has an orthopteran resting on the petals. Orthopterans! OK, an order of insects that includes grasshoppers, crickets, and katydids.

We love the beebalms! It is always super to see the bee balms blooming along the Cranberry Glades area.

More insects are visiting the blooms. This bumble bee (Hymenopteran) is enjoying the goose necked loosestrife!

Grandma took the kids to the park across the street. Grandpa (Tis moi!) had story time with Flora, Lucy, and Harper!

Lucy is certainly posing for the camera. Tomorrow we will check out the 4th of July parade in Shepherdstown.
