Our friend, Fran Schmetzer, was looking at the many selections of flowers available.
At this time, onions and lettuce seem to be the fare. I can not wait until later in the summer we can get the ole cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, and other fresh goodies.
The official Farm Market greeter is another friend, Mary Lee McPherson. It is always super to hear her say, "Welcome to the Farmers Market!" She is sitting beside John Bennett, Glenville's current mayor. Guess we made the headlines last week in the Charleston Gazette when Glenville elected by one vote the youngest female mayor in WV history.

I am always amazed to see the tenacity of nature. I was driving to town and by the road was an amazing sight. (I know- many folks would not notice!) Here was a honeysuckle vine that had grown up through a plastic wire protector and finally hit the ole sunlight. It is now celebrating its dark journey by blooming profusely.

Where is the glenville Market, Jim? We might want to visit this weekend.
It is on the Senior Citizens lot at the junction of Route 5 and 33. Directly across from McDonalds. Open on Saturday from 8-? Will see you soon, my friend.
