Landscaping at the Church

We are members of the Glenville Presbyterian Church. Our church burned several years ago and was a total loss. Shown above is the new church. As with any new endeavor, there are many projects that need to be tackled. One of our goals is to landscape the new location. The first phase of this project is to establish plants on the bank to the right of the main parking lot. We decided that we would alternate blocks of flowering quince and forsythia. That should make a cheerful display in the spring and will be, hopefully, not provide a salad for the local deer population. Our friend, Chris Higgins of the Plant and Gnome Nursery (http://www.plantandgnome.com/), supplied the plants for this project.

Any landscaping project needs an expert and seasoned planter. Collin Bennett is a GSC student who will graduate this summer. He is from Lewisburg, WV. Collin has agreed to work on the landscaping for the church.

I will keep you all up on how we progress with our project. Many thanks to Collin for undertaking this task!
