Acer Aspire One
We have a new member in our computer family. This Acer netbook is a fine addition to our household and will increase our computing ability on the road. This little netbook is so light that it can be placed it in a purse and traveling with it is easy. Our netbook has the ruby red case. (...in memory of Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz! Well, not true, but makes a good story.)


The internet function is fast and efficient. The netbook also has a built in web cam and microphone for conferencing.




We had installed Microsoft Office and an antiviral program.

Judy used it at the Folk Festival meeting this past Tuesday. This little computer did an amazing job! She was able to take minutes during the meeting. She came home with the minutes completed! In the past, Judy (Folk Festival secretary) took notes by hand and then typed them into the computer. The hand written method was not very efficient.

I would recommend a netbook for those who desire portability and easy internet access.

Speaking of Judy Garland this week over at The Judy Garland Experience they have gone Hollywood!

Among the rare recordings posted are not one, but two, saucy and spicy Poland Springs commercials by none other than Mae West!

There are also incredibly rare and blue outtakes from Orson Welles, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Sharon Tate, and Col. Sanders.

Frances Faye stops by and sings a few standards in her unique and entertaining way,

Marilyn Monroe is revived and remixed, and the great Nina Simone performs live at the Hollywood Bowl!

As for Judy, excerpts from her appearance at the Hollywood Bowl can also be heard, as well as the complete broadcast of Good News Of 1938 starring Judy, Sophie Tucker, Jeanette McDonald, and a host of others.

The complete recording of Judy’s 1969 appearance at the NFT has also been posted, along with excerpts from her latest CD JUDY GOES HOLLYWOOD.
