Festival Faces

One of the great aspects of the Festival is that it is a homecoming. Sir Dan Schuda (above) was celebrating his wedding anniversary with his lovely wife. Yesterday he also celebrated his birthday.

Below is our leader, Sadie Kelble. Her enthusiasm, energy, and work ethics are amazing. She is one of the major driving forces of the WV State Folk Festival.

There are interesting sights around every corner at Festival time.

These sisters, Karen and Mary, help with the quit show located at Trinity Methodist Church. They are excellent dancers!

Face painting was on the agenda for my good wife and granddaughter Flora.

Mack Samples and Brenda McCartney are another couple of individuals that provide much energy contributing to the success of our Festivals.

Mickey Metz, Gilmer County sheriff.

Frank George was one of the recipents of the 2008 Folk Festival Dedication. His wife Jane shared in this honor.

Bruce Farmer and Debbie Martzall were in charge of signage, the auction, and many other tasks.

Jeane Kennedy and Jim Flynn were checking our the Lions Club Antique Car Show.

The Earl of Elkview poses with old time fiddler, Frank George.

We have many other faces of the Festival. Let me just present a few more.
