Early Heritage

The Folk Festival celebrates the heritage of our region - one that is rich and diverse. Every year the encampment on the Court House lawn brings us back to the Civil War era. Sheri Skidmore is here every year with her husband and kids. They do a fine job in the parade on Saturday.

We can not forget our Native American heritage,

The folks are involved in a drumming ceremony. The buffalo hide drum has a wonderfully strong sound.

The Native American exhibit stresses the importance of education and uses several original artifacts.
