Part Two
The Flight
We left the Hyatt Regency at 5:30 A.M. and walked to the US Air terminal. The Hyatt is attached to the airport so one does not have to exit to the outside in order to get inside the airport. Jeff was amazing. He can organize all of our luggage and transport the majority of the luggage by himself. Notice the boys helped by carrying their backpacks.
There was no problem loading the airplane. We arrived in Philadelphia at 8:45 AM. We had to exit the plane since the Customs Officials had to inspect the plane. This is always done on international flights. We re-boarded the same plane and left Philadelphia at 10:30 A.M.
When we arrived at the airport in Providenciales around 1:30 P.M., Nate was trying to push all the buttons and switches. Happy the engines were not on!
A van picked us up when we arrived on the island and took us to Hertz Rental where we picked up our rental van.
It was a miracle that we got 7 folks and 18 pieces of luggage into
a traditional van Yes, 18! We each had pieces of luggage all over our bodies.
Jeff kept telling himself, " Drive on the left." Turks and Caicos is a possession of Great Britain, so that explains the left side driving lanes.
Tomorrow .... Arrival at the Windsong Resort
