Part 16
Wednesday on The Island

I was up for breakfast early and fixed eggs and ham. I was amazed that one else wanted this gourmet breakfast. The rest of the crew had another complementary continental breakfast in JOJO's Cafe.

The family left Windsong to meet Captain Alistair Dods and his wife Betty at Turtle Cove marina. Turtle Cove is a beautiful marina.  The boys were excited about riding the submarine through the reefs.

Sarah's eye caught this speed boat called "Wild One".  Here is the internet blurb about this tour.  "Thrill seekers are in for a truly wild and heart-racing jet boat ride as they blast off at rocket speed to explore the turquoise waters of Turks and Caicos. Your adrenaline will rush as the Wild One spins 360 degrees, shifts into high speed drifts and bounces through the waves. Get wet and wild on a ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish."  OK- I AM NOT interested!

Alistair and Betty are a delightful couple.

They have been married for 10 years  Alistair is  63 and has had an adventurous life  Alistair is from Kenya and Betty is a New Zealand native. They moved to the Turks and Caicos 7 years ago and started the semi submarine business.

This was a great trip and had the opportunity of seeing sting  rays, green turtles, and beautiful fish among the corals.

Miss Betty asked Sam if he would sit at the front and be the official turtle spotter.

He did not let her down!

Several sting rays swam in front of our submarine.

The boys were amazed at the critters that we were able to observe. What a different and most interesting trip!
