IT'S HERE!

Now that the snow has departed, it seems spring has sprung. Spring officially is a week away (March 20, 2010). The garden is now opening up to start the flower show. The Lenton Roses are blooming even though the deer have denuded the foliage. I really do not believe the experts that claim these plants are deer resistant.

The aconites are in full bloom. They will be gone soon.

The foliage of Dad's resurrection lilies (naked ladies) is heading toward the sun. The leaves will die back in late spring and the blooming occurs in the summer on naked stalks.

You have to love the daffodils! What a hardy harbinger of spring! The buds are preparing for the show of yellows and whites.

The primroses are also poking their heads out of the leaf litter.

The snowdrops are in full bloom. What a great time of year!
