Flora's Birthday

We left the Clarion hotel a little before 11 AM to met the folks at Four Seasons Books. Who should we see on German Street? It was the birthday girl wearing her flamenco dress which was made by Grandma Meads. Flora was certainly proud of the handmade costume.

We all went to the second floor of the Four Seasons Book Store for story time. The lady told stories and played the lap dulcimer.

Anaka and Flora had their faces painted. A lady on the street was providing free face adornments for all the kids.

It is time for the birthday party! The fairy birthday cake was supplied by Aunt Sarah.

Candles were lit and Flora blew all seven out. She is officially seven.

There were several special folks in attendance at this Halloween party. There were folks from Star Wars. Nate was Yoda!

Dad Jeff was Luke Skywalker. Luke and Yoda revisited old galactic adventures.

Sarah dressed as Princess Leia Organa. Our Sam was Obi-wan Kenobi.

Grandma Meads donned her kimono and was transformed into a Japanese geisha. Things are looking up for Grandpa!

You may ask, "What was my garb?" I dressed as a caveman. It turned out that I actually looked like Howard Stern hunting for a man cave!

After the party (around 6 PM), all folks were off to the great Trick or Treat that occurs each year on German Street in Shepherdstown. Tomorrow you will see all the fantastic costumes!
