GSC Bluegrass

This afternoon Judy and I went to the GSC Bluegrass Festival. The bands were excellent. Mountain Fury (above photo) is a bluegrass group that was formed from gals who recently graduated from GSC's Bluegrass Program. They are always a delight to watch and hear.

As I mentioned , the bands that Buddy Griffin invited to come were great. John Lilly hosted the program and always does a fine job. The one band that REALLY impressed us and was such a joy to watch was The Littlle Mill Creek Boys (below photo). These two young men played the fiddle and banjo in a most amazing performance. They were accommpanied by a bass and a guitar played by Johnny Staats of Jackson County. It is so wonderful to see young folks take an interest in playing bluegrass and the old time songs.
