Baptism!

I have been going through old photos for the 2008 Folk Festival calendar. I am finalizing the calendar today. The calendar theme this year is transportation of the past. The calendar can be purchased at the Country Store and Museum during the Folk Festival in June. (June 21-24, 2007)

I came across many photos that reflected moments in past Gilmer County history, but did not directly relate to transportation. I love these two photos of a river baptism that were part of Troy Cottrell's family's heritiage. No sprinkling at this service- a full body immersion was evident in these photos.
