Pond Update

It has been so hot this past month to really sit on the porch and enjoy our backyard. Even in this heat, the pond is a point of relaxation and tranquility for our family. Last week I hung (with help from Admiral Jordan) the Himalayan Prayer Flags in back of the pond.


Prayer flags are colorful panels or rectangular cloths often found strung along mountain ridges and peaks high in the Himalayas to bless the surrounding countryside.

I hope the koi are enjoying the prayer flags as much as I am. The koi, as you can see, are doing wonderfully.




The albino catfish, which started out as a small aquarium fish, is now almost 30 inches in length.



It is a blessing to have these critter thriving in our backyard.
