The Final Four

Just received a call from Jeff and Sarah. They are on the way to the Final Four game in Indianapolis. Around 9 AM this morning they were in Cambridge, Ohio and should arrive in early afternoon.

The Mountaineers hadn't advanced to the Final Four since 1959, when they were led by Jerry West. That 51-year drought flipped from an eternity in sports to a mere blip in the mind for the Mountaineers fans who came to celebrate — and sing.

The fans belted out lyrics to the John Denver hit that's become tied to the school.

The game tonight is around 8:45. If WVU wins, the geological survey had best record the earthquake. I imagine that with all the WVU fans in the state pounding their feet that they will move the WV tetonic plate several feet toward the west. Oh, poor California will get flooded!
