Fall on The Meads Porch
It is October and the fall season has arrived. Uncle Gary from Camano Island, WA, asked if we have decorated our porches for fall. Seems as if the western folks do not so here are a couple of porch photos from the Meads porch in the hamlet of Glenville. The lady above is a relative. Must be on the wife's side of the family.
The local spiders get into the fall spirit. This fellow has spun its web on the outside of the birdhouse. The spider watches from the safety of the bird house hole. Once a small insect arrives on the webbing, out comes the spider. I have cleaned the porch and removed this web. Hark, the next morning it is reestablished. The spider now has squatter's rights in the decorations.
