Morning All! Happy June 1st! This has been a busy, but a great few days. Grandma Great Meads joined us on Friday and we started the weekend with a super supper (say that quickly 10 times!) at the Smokehouse Restaurant in Glenville. You need to stop by this eatery for fine food and really fine bluegrass music.

Local musicians gather every Friday and Saturday evening at the Smokehouse. A great blending of fiddle, mandolin, banjo, dobro, guitar, and harmonica is a wonderful experience. My friend, Aaron, is a fine musician. He is leading the group (below) on the fiddle in a rendition of "Let's Fly Away".

These folks really enjoy themselves. As I listened to the music, I realized that the WV State Folk Festival is not far away. It starts on June 17 and is completed with a church service at the historic Job's Temple on Sunday,

Our good friend, Bruce Farmer, is a recent addition to our Gilmer County family. He is in the middle in the photo below. He and his wife, Deb, own a Coopworth sheep farm just outside of town. They are hard workers and fine folks.

Tomorrow Grandma Great, Judy, and I attended our favorite Saturday morning activity - the Farmers Market.
