Our New Grandkid!

Poor Sarah was certainly uncomfortable during the latter stages of her pregnancy. Everyones' comments involved how large she had become. Sarah and Jeff scheduled a Caesarian section on Monday at 11:30. The photo above was taken aound 9:30 A.M. on Monday just as she was leaving for the hospital.

At 12:15 P.M. Nathaniel James Dodson was born. He is beautiful! Nate weighed 9 pounds, 14 inches - 22 inches in length. He and Mom are doing super. Nate was weighed as he entered the nursery.

The processing of a new baby is quite interesting. Blood testing and, yes,.....

the famous foot prints for the birth certificate!

Finally all the preliminary requirements were satisfied. Now it was time to feed. While Mom was recovering in anesthesia, Dad Jeff supplied Nate's first meal.

Oh Boy! While he is waiting for his Mom, it is cuddling time.

Mom is finally back from back from the recovery room (around 4:30 P.M.) and ready to supply Nate's immediate needs. Tomorrow we will see Sammy's reaction to his little brother.
