Hand Balancing

When we were on our cruise a couple of years ago, we saw a couple who performed hand balancing as part of their very controlled acrobatic dance. The folks, who are able to have such muscular control and strength, are amazing. ( Here is a commercial for genetics!) Dima Shine reminded me of that performance.

Dima Shine is a 23 year old who puts on a stunning show of strength in a graceful pole balancing routine during which he appears at one point to defy gravity by striding effortlessly around a pole at 90 degrees, held up only by his arms. The video below is taken from a French television show. Enjoy and be amazed.

Dima was born in Russia in 1985 and he has performed in several circuses, including Cirque du Soleil.

We would love to see a Cirque du Soleil show. Jeff and Sarah have had that experience. As expected, they were impressed with the staging and atheletic abilities of the performers. I may audition for Cirque du Soleil in my next life!
