Weekend For Birthdays!

Well, as you can see from the title, we were busy celebrating birthdays this weekend. We traveled on Saturday to Newburne to share in birthday celebrations with Julia Gordon. Julie was celebrating her 80th birthday. Her cake was decorated with red roses which matched her birthday dress. On Sunday we had two parties at the same time. Maxine Smith celebrated her 80th at the Glenville Presbyterian Church. Her favorite flower are pansies. There were pansies everywhere and added a cheerful and personal touch.

The young lady above is Deanna Stewart! Her family and friends gave her a surprise 50th at the Community Center in Burnsville. It was one of those rare occasions when Deanna was actually surprised! Notice the expression on her face. She is sitting in her present.

OK- can you figure out from the photo below what was her surprise 50th present?




Seems that Deanna and husband, Mike, were at Cabela's and Deanna saw a kyack on sale. Mike said, "Deanna, you are almost 50 and you would kill yourself in this beast." She did not think of it anymore. Well, at the end of the party came her own personal kyack.


PS- This is the day of our 40th anniversary! We are having an open house on Saturday to share once again this occasion with our friends.
